The Moskites Family

When I first spoke to Emily, I heard her excitement about the #frontstepsproject. This project was a way for all families to do something different. To come out of their houses, and do something fun on their front steps. When I pulled up her husband and sons were chasing each other around the house having so much fun! I’m so glad that I got to meet this awesome family!!

Please tell us how this time has affected you and your family either in a positive and/or negative manner?

We are bored but bonding. Kids are enjoying a lot of outside playtime.

What are some of the things that your family has done to cope with the new way of life? IE: school, work, family time etc.

We are both working from home and the kids are doing remote school. There is a lot of organization that is needed to keep everyone on task and make sure people have the time and space to do what they need to do during the day

The Kronenwetter Family

One of my favorite things about the #Frontstepsproject is that it gave me the ability to create. Not only create images, but to create new friendships. Karen and her boys Jack, Andrew and of course Teddy are an amazing family. Their story about how they all pulled together during this pandemic time to make much needed masks is just a small glimpse at a wonderful family!

Please tell us how this time has affected you and your family either in a positive and/or negative manner?

My sons helped me for weeks to cut fabric, iron, sew and deliver masks, ear savers and button bands. We connected in a meaningful way and I feel they gained a better understanding of Old school values

What is one of your favorite memories or stories that happened during this time which includes your family and/or friends?

We made homemade pasta and tried different recipes. Some were great however some went right into the garbage and we had a frozen pizza.

What are some of the things that your family has done to cope with the new way of life? IE: school, work, family time etc.

I taught them card games. We played a lot of Scrabble, rearranged their furniture, cleaned out closets and tried to downsize our ‘stuff’

We’ve had to cancel trips and miss our friends and family terribly, but our girls have bonded so much more without all the running to activities and we have loved every second of having our new puppy with us!

What is one of your favorite memories or stories that happened during this time which includes your family and/or friends?

We traveled to New York to pick up the puppy, which completed our family! It was tricky navigating the ferry and drive with two kids and a puppy in quarantine and an experience we will never forget!

My husbands work schedule as an essential employee has changed so he is home more during the days sometimes so we have been able to spend a lot more time together as a family which is nice. I am working from home and helping teach my kids as well so its a constant juggle but we know there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

I contacted Paula to see if she would like to participate in #Frontstepsproject in the very beginning of the the Corona Pandemic. The Berson Family and the St. Onge’s go way back to the days of their older son Kyle and my son Jesse playing Lacrosse together when they were only 7 years old. It has been such a joy and pleasure calling The Berson family, the entire family, our friends.
