Please tell us how this time has affected you and your family either in a positive and/or negative manner?

Positive way – we have had the opportunity to slow down and spend quality time together. Normally we are constantly running from activity to activity (especially during the Spring season) with the boys dancing and playing baseball.

What is one of your favorite memories or stories that happened during this time which includes your family and/or friends?

When we had you come do the photos for Evan’s 16th birthday – and his birthday car parade. Very memorable Not only was it is 16th birthday – but it was also Mother’s Day — a great day to celebrate and see friends and family

What are some of the things that your family has done to cope with the new way of life? IE: school, work, family time etc.

We have had family game nights, cooking lessons with the kids, created book discussions and have taken family walks through Nevers Park — we did not know how beautiful the trails behind the baseball field really were — only sat at Rotary never ventured on the walking trails before this experience.

Sue contacted me to photograph her family and I was thrilled to offer the #Frontstepsproject to her. I thank Sue so much for participating in this project. It is so enlightening to read everyone’s thoughts about this time during the Covid-19 crisis.

Please tell us how this time has affected you and your family either in a positive and/or negative manner?

My daughter has a chronic illness. She has been hospitalized twice during this pandemic. Her health is already so compromised that I fear for her getting COVID19. I own a small business. We are considered essential. I have worried about my employees, their health, and their families. At the same time I know we are fortunate to be able to work.

What is one of your favorite memories or stories that happened during this time which includes your family and/or friends?

Virtual happy hours kept us close to family and friends.

What are some of the things that your family has done to cope with the new way of life? IE: school, work, family time etc.

I found a beautiful scarf that my mother had given me years ago. I used it to make masks for my family. We take a lot of walks, ride bikes and chat with neighbors while social distancing. We’ve shared family time around the fire pit. But most of all, realize our resilience and the strength we have.
